Street in Moret is and impressionist painting that will bring grace to every room.
Known for his landscapes, Impressionist painter, Alfred Sisley was originally sent to London to study a career in business, in hopes to join his father in the Silk Business. After four years, Sisley would go on to abandon his education, and returned to Paris where, he would study under Marc-Charles-Gariel Gleyre. Thru his time as a student, he would garner connections to the likes of the popular painters Monet and Renoir. After Sisleys family business failed, his sole income was based upon selling his work. Soon following Sisleys death, the value of Sisleys work increased, and over the years has been an attractive object for theft.
